Easy Gourmet for Gluten-Free Vegans by Crystal DuBoyce

At this years Health and Healing Crusade I had the pleasure of meeting 3 authors- I will be reviewing books for all 3 of them. It was amazing to meet these beautiful people.. Today I want to talk to you about Crystal DuBoyce. She is the author of Easy Gourmet for Gluten-Free Vegans. Crystal and her husband Brian Igarta (the author of 2 books I will be reviewing soon) did a vegan cooking demonstration the first night of the crusade. Then they very graciously helped whenever and wherever I needed help in the kitchen. Crystal even helped my son sell dvds after my demonstration on Sunday morning (Thanks again Crystal!). Crystal has such a sweet spirit. I enjoyed working with her, learning from her, and getting to know her a little bit. I wish we had more time to just visit- to really get to know each other but there was work to be done!
Crystal used to be the raw food chef at Bella Vita (so she was already a gal after my own raw vegan heart!) and she also has celiac disease. She has created an amazing gluten and soy free recipes. There are some raw recipes in there as well (like her amazing raw cheesecake) but that isn’t the focus of this book. By the way the pictures in the book will make you hungry!
Her samples were very well received at the conference and I must say her raw cheesecake really is amazing! I hope that I get to work with her and her husband Brian again. It was an incredible experience for me to work with them both.
