Chinese BBQ Tofu
4 blocks of extra firm tofu (that has been pressed and completely drained
3 big green onions sliced- both greens and white part
6 big cloves of garlic chopped
Olive oil
braggs aminos
Cube tofu and pan fry in batches in olive oil. When they are looking browned and slightly crispy- then added a portion of the green onions and garlic (I cooked in 4 batches (due to size of pan- so I divided the onions a garlic into 4 parts) and a squirt of braggs aminos. Cook until the garlic and onions are softened.
Repeat until all of the tofu is cooked up.
Sauce:
1 bottle of Bulls Eye bbq sauce (or a any bbq sauce that doesn’t have high fructose corn syrup in it)
1 tbsp of chinese chili paste (more or less to taste)
braggs aminos (I used about 1/8 cup or so- just wanting to import a Chinese flavor to the sauce and thin it out a bit, if you like a really strong soy flavor you could use more)
Put all tofu back in pan (if it will fit) and add sauce. Stir to coat all the tofu- you are only cooking long enough to heat up the sauce.
Serve over brown rice and top with sesame seeds.
