Blendtec..More info and a good deal! VeganeClub
I got an email from my friend Nomi Shannon. She sells the K-tec blenders (made by the same company that makes the Blendtec). She gave me several tips to help me with my blender. One of my biggest complaint was that it didn’t hold as much as my Vitamix. She assured me that just because the blender has the 44 ounce line on the jar that doesn’t mean that you can’t fill the jar beyond that point on up to the top. I had assumed that the 44 ounce mark was the “fill to” line. I did what Nomi told me- I filled my Vitamix jar to the top with water and then dumped that into my Blendtec jar, oh my goodness! There was room to spare in the Blendtec jar. It does indeed hold more than the Vitamix! That was my oops! So make sure that you have the liquid on the bottom but fill on up to the top. She also gave me some tips that I am going to share with you here.

1. Always use the pulse button FIRST especially when making smoothies with frozen stuff or chunky things like carrots. Pulse, Pulse, Pulse…as it starts to break up then hit the speed button
2. As for the preset buttons, they are nice but once you get used to the SPEED CONTROL buttons you’ll never use the presets again.
3. Once you’ve pulsed a few times stuff is breaking up and going OK, press the up speed button, just keep your little finger on there until the screen says “10′. Let ‘er rip for 30 seconds or so. Smooth and creamy smoothie.

Thank you Nomi. Now for the good deal. Nomi shared with me that she can get demo models of the blendtec for $100 off of the retail price. So if any of my readers are looking for a good deal on the blendtec- click on the picture of the blender up above to email Nomi. Tell her that Debra at Vegan Club Style sent you for a good deal on a demo model on the Blendtec.
